GitUp est un pari pour inventer un nouveau modèle d'interaction Git qui permet aux ingénieurs de tous niveaux de travailler rapidement, en toute sécurité et sans maux de tête. Il est différent de tout autre client Git existant, tant par la manière dont il est construit (il interagit directement avec la base de données Git sur le disque) que par la façon dont il fonctionne (vous manipulez le graphique du dépôt au lieu de manipuler les commits).
Avec GitUp, vous obtenez un client Git véritablement efficace pour Mac :
- Un graph de dépôt en direct et interactif (éditer, réorganiser, corriger, fusionner des commits…),
- Annulation / rétablissement illimité de presque toutes les opérations (même les rebases et les fusions),
- Fonctionnalités de type Time Machine avec instantanés pour des retours en arrière en 1 clic aux états précédents du dépôt,

I installed GitUp on my Mac and would love to find some basic documentation on how to use it. Explain what a 'Working Directory' is. What is the Index window? I created a Repository using the File/New tab and copied some .html, php files into the folder.
When I go to the Map and click on Quick View I get a list of files but I am unable to Edit them to make changes....
As a newbie I just need some basic documentation but have been unable to find any. There is a lot of documentation for GIT using the command line interface.

I *really* want to like this. Anything that aims to make git easier to newcomers, and more visual, already gets one star from me. And the GUI here is truly innovative, and easy to navigate. The functions seems to perform really well, stable, and fast, even on gigantic repositories.
Unfortunately, I will deduct a star for what I perceive to be lack of functionality and/or lack of appropriate documentation. How do I create a new local repository? Is there a way to view a list of all my repositories? Can I login securely to my accounts in GitLab? All a bit of a mystery to me.
The good news is that this is early days, and the project is obviously under active development. What has been developed so far is of great quality, exciting and promising. I'm crossing my fingers, hoping the developers will work on the few missing features, and on the sorely needed documentation.

It is not easy to come across an app that tries to make git 'easy', and manages to remain useful and stable. GitUp, with its highly visual and intuitive interface, brings a solid contribution to this space, and it deserves praise.

Nice app. Font size is so small though and not adjustable. Fail on the accessibility front.
